Why did Salesforce come up with Lightning Experience?

In this episode we will try to understand what's the need for Salesforce to come up with Lightning Experience.

There is a frequent question being asked in the community and that's why do we have learn a new tech all together when we are pretty much happy with Visualforce and Apex?

And I would say, its for our good Salesforce has came up with something called Lightning Experience. I tried throwing some light on what are the advantages that we get as a Salesforce Developer, what things to consider when we work on this framework and etc.

I also tried explaining how Salesforce developers were managing to build Single Page Application even before Lightning Experience came to existence.

Also, Lightning is not just a rip off of any other advanced JS framework there are other cool things that are added to Lightning Experience that makes it even more powerful.
